Maybe the context is cultural and you don’t understand it. Not as simple as cleaning one’s room but managing children, cooking three meals, having a well paying job, caring for elderly relatives etc. all without complaint. The downside to not being ‘capable’ is being viewed as a bad mother/wife/daughter. Sacrifice is inherent to some people’s idea of being ‘good woman.’ And if you declare you can’t or won’t you’re seen as spoilt, indulged, not feminine enough. Being good at everything (capable) can be incredibly exhausting esp if it’s an expectation and not a genuine talent. Most women are capable because they have no choice in the matter.
